Instead of words to describe all that has been the flurry of the first two weeks of December I think I'll show in photos..
Our family advent calendar. The wonderful idea of which comes from Ali Edwards.
Our family Christmas card.
Finishing of Silver Bella projects...the front of the altered book above.
And the inside.
School field trip with Sweet Pea #2 to the Daughter's of the American Revolution Constitution Hall to see the United States Navy Band Holiday Concert.
Finishing up on another Silver Bella project. I am particularly proud of this one because as rule I don't sew...I glue! Had to step out of the comfort box for this one. :)
Ornament exchange party with girlfriends. The cute "ornament" flashcard is from the uber-talented Cari Kraft.
Field trip with Sweet Pea #1 and the kindergarden elves to deliver loads of new toys to the Holiday Coalition in Leesburg. This is a non-profit organization that delivers goods to 3,000 children in need each holiday season. The little elves all had on hats and sang Christmas Carols for the workers. Santa even showed up to thank the kids!!! By far the best day of December thus far.
Santa breakfast with the family.
And, last but not least...
144 cookies, baked and wrapped up by the dozen for a holiday cookie exchange. :)
