COURAGE shows itself in many forms and many ways...
this summer I am finding the COURAGE to dig in and try all new sorts of artistic endeavors. Over the next few days I thought I'd share with you some of the various projects I've been working on and really having SO much fun with! Many of these projects involve artistic mediums or techniques which are new to me...courage, courage, courage!!!
First off is a Marie Antoinette Charm Bracelet Swap:
Above are the tags which will adorn the various beads I add to the other ladies bracelets. The image is printed directly onto sticky back canvas and then painted over with a coat of gel medium. I wanted the image to have the look of an aged oil painting. I then punched the top with an aged brass grommet and tied them up with yards of vintage seam binding and vintage lace.
Above is my "starter" charm bracelet which I have just mailed out to be filled with various charms and baubles from the other ladies. I used vintage french buttons and cameos. I am so excited to see it after it makes the rounds and is full of all the charms. Jewelry making of ANY kind is new, new, new to me...and I will admit to a few band-aids now adorning my fingers...ouch!
Above is one of the other ladies charm bracelets. At the bottom you can see the three charms I added. The silver wing with the vintage rhinestone ball I added. The milk glass teardrop and the heart with the small white beaded ring.
Thanks for peeking and making the courageous journey with me. :)
