« goodbye until the spring thaw... |
| the signatures...part one... »
i've been a busy sewing bee in the craft room, finishing up my Remains of the Day journal. Mary Ann Moss is truly a gifted instructor and I've SO enjoyed her style.
the front cover:
i used fabric remnants, wool felt, seam binding, vintage velvet ribbon and loads of vintage lace scraps I've been saving for that "something special..."
the front cover opened up:
the back cover:
I included a page from a vintage children's book that had a lovely bird engraving...
a few more close-ups: loving the contrast between the luxe and the shabby, the new and the worn...
next up: the inside "signatures" -or- pages.

Love your new ROD journal cover. Its vintage feel is wonderful. Can't wait to see the pages you do for it. Knowing you they are going to be just as lovely.
