rely on others to share beauty with you.

remember that it's been a long, cold winter.

all the barren trees and branches

will soon be filled

with lovely shades of color.

p.s. this is my first "she-art" workshop girl. created while a student in christy tomlinson's class. can you say, WAY out of my comfort zone! i'm loving the class though...hightly recommend it. and,  i love her...imperfections and all. xoxo

all the above photos are pieces from the swap i played in over at heather's lovely blog. i painted and collaged matchboxes and filled them with everything you see above. for each of my partners, i also created the three mini matchboxes which i placed inside the larger one. when they slide open the larger box, they will see the above words. of course, i'm still completely inspired by the beautiful girls at, brave girls, and wanted to carry this spirit on into my artwork.
